"As an artist I find that my work is ever evolving. It is a continual process of reinventing myself in this rapidly changing world where new ideas and possibilities are constantly flowing in. I began painting in pastels, which allowed me to paint and draw at the same time. From there I moved to oils where I created impressionistic representational imagery with brush and palette knife from images photographed in my many travels. I have now added the expression of abstraction where I play with the elements of color, light, shape and texture and composition. Janna’s large family,  her travels and her gardens, provide some of the elemental ingredients in her artwork.  She uses watercolors, oils, acrylics, pastels, collage, oil pastels, inks  or any combination of them to create her diverse collection of artwork. Born in Torreon, Mexico in 1983 Alejandro soon moved overseas and spent most of his youth in Spain and Germany. His interest in art began at an early age and grew into a passion in his late teens. A self-taught artist he has explored many styles and mediums of art such as realism, abstract and use of graphite and charcoal. After serving eight years in the U.S Air Force he chose to move to San Angelo, TX to be present in his daughter's life. In less than a year he opened the Vino Dipinte Art Gallery and began his artist career.

His current body of work can be described as figurative and explosive with color.

L.
