"I like being in the moment when I work and I try to limit the amount of colors I use. Generally I use vibrant colors especially reds and blues. I apply the paint with large brushes which I usually purchase from the local paint store. My trusted palette knife is another piece in my arsenal that gets used regularly. Textured surfaces fascinate me. They seem to have a life of their own. Many of my canvas have been around for years getting more and more paint applied until the perfect picture emerges."- Gabriele Bitter
